Another Democrat enters field in crowded state House race
The Democratic field looking to replace Rep. Michael Murphy, D-Lansing, has grown to six. Patrick Baker, a Lansing attorney, is throwing his hat into the ring at a May 15 Capitol press conference.
Baker, 42, worked for former Gov. John Engler’s legal division, former state Rep. Paul DeWeese, R-Williamston, and the federal courts. He’s also worked within the former Michigan Department of Labor. Now, he’s in private practice.
