Al Cavasin endorsed by Citizens for Traditional Values’ PAC
CONCORD – The influential grassroots organization Citizens for Traditional Values’ Political Action Committee has announced its endorsement of Republican Al Cavasin for the 19th Michigan Senate District seat. The organization serves churches and citizens who want to be “in the know” about social and political issues.
“Al Cavasin has the business experience that Lansing especially needs,” CTV President James Muffett said. “He not only believes in the sanctity of life but also is an advocate for traditional family values including one man-one woman marriage, education reform and religious freedoms. We are excited to endorse him as a candidate.”
As a statewide organization, Citizens for Traditional Values’ goal is to promote personal freedom and traditional family values, and to work for the adoption of laws and public policies that reflect those values. The group helps keep conservative voters aware and active about important issues in Lansing.
“The hard working, conservative families of this District deserve to have a Senator who shares their values, morals and belief systems, and this endorsement confirms the fact that I am the man for the job,” Cavasin said. “It is an excellent indicator that my many years of volunteer service have been recognized and are being counted. I pledge to the citizens of the 19th District that I will fight consistently and tirelessly to protect the core values that are so important to our society. We’ve been desperate for real change in this district and it is now on our horizon!”
Cavasin, a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam, heads his own Jackson-based security services firm, the Great Northern Sentry Co. He is a life-long resident of Michigan. He and Linda Cavasin, his wife of 33 years, have two grown sons.
The 19th Senate District comprises Calhoun County and most of Jackson County, including the city of Jackson.
